Team Positive Early Childhood Education Program (Team PECE) from Triple P – Positive Parenting Program is an interactive, virtual professional learning program from the developers of Triple P designed to build early childhood educators’ knowledge, confidence, and skills with essential tools to promote children's development, self-regulation, and social competence. Team PECE enhances educators' skills and confidence to handle challenging situations and fosters a nurturing classroom environment. Team PECE includes virtual learning and practice sessions with a PECE Coach.
The Play and Language for Autistic Youngsters (PLAY) Project is a parent implemented, intensive early intervention program for young children with autism. PLAY Project Consultants (PPCs) train parents/caregivers to deliver the intervention at home and engage the child in play that promotes their development.
Touchpoints: The How of Child and Family Engagement is a training course that provides a framework for providers to engage families in their child’s development by looking at child development as a dynamic process with predictable periods of disorganization (i.e., Touchpoints) that tend to upset the whole family system. Touchpoints: The How of Child and Family Engagement provides concrete tools that strengthen family-child and family-provider relationships which are key to support optimal development in children.
Transportation to increase access to childcare. Transportation to and from childcare services and other developmentally appropriate enrichment activities through their childcare provider.
Transportation not covered by Medicaid to support positive health and family well-being outcomes.
Communications strategy designed to put parenting on the public agenda and raise awareness of the need to support parents by destigmatizing and normalizing parents seeking parenting help, increase the visibility of positive parenting programs, encourage parents to participate in positive parenting programs, and promoting parents' confidence and self-sufficiency. Must be provided in conjunction with other Triple P programs.
Brief one-on-one consultation delivered by a practitioner who provides regular support to parents who have one or two concerns with their child's behavior or development. Based on the evidence and purveyor guidance, when implementing Triple P Level 2: Brief Primary Care with Smart Start funds, additional Triple P models must be offered and made available to families. NCPC strongly recommends pairing Brief Primary Care with Level 3: Primary Care, Level 4: Online, or Level 4: Standard.
Introduction to the positive parenting practices and Triple P through a series of seminars for parents who have one or two concerns with their child's behavior or development.
Parent education groups for parents of children with mild to moderate behavioral difficulties, focusing on a specific problem behavior or issue. Discussion groups can be delivered as a series or taken as stand-alone sessions.
Brief one-on-one consultation for parents of a child with mild to moderate behavioral difficulties, focused on a specific problem behavior or issue.
Parent education for parents of children with severe behavioral difficulties offered as group sessions. Includes both group sessions and individual counseling via telephone calls.
Individual counseling for parents of children with severe behavioral difficulties who are in need of intensive support. Standard Triple P provides parents with broadly focused parenting support and intervention on a one-to-one basis. The program supports parents who have concerns about their child’s behavior or development across various settings (e.g. disobedience in community settings, fighting and aggression, refusing to stay in bed or eat healthy meals).
Intensive support for families with complex concerns, provided in conjunction with or after completing Triple P Level 3- Primary Care, Triple P Level 4- Triple P Standard, or Triple P Level 4- Group Triple P. Parents can also be referred by their primary care provider. Triple P Level 5- Enhanced is a parent education program for parents whose family situation is complicated by concerns such as partner conflict, stress, or mental health issues. Parents can complete up to 3 modules addressing partner relationships and communication, personal coping strategies for high stress situations, and other positive parenting practices.
